I had a really hard time coming up with a name for this site. All of my first choices were taken. I thought about just using my name, but that is so boring and predictable and forgettable.
I liked “just a lazy woman”. I’m not really lazy. Not in the – sits around all day watching soaps and eating ice cream out of the container – kind of way. I just don’t like to do any more work than I have to. My mom and my friend Erica had a very strong dislike of justalazywoman.com. I don’t think they saw the humor in it. I couldn’t think of anything better so started themeing some of the site around that name. I was even composing the first post in my head in which I apologized profusely to them for asking their opinion and then choosing the name they hated.
Just as I was about to hit the “purchase” button at godaddy.com and forever label myself Just a Lazy Woman I thought of this name. I was thinking about the fact that I am lazy, yes, but there’s another side to me, too. A side that loves to do something well, that will spend hours on one little detail to make sure things are done perfectly. I would have liked lazyperfectionist.com but it was taken. I could have gone with A lazy perfectionist but I was afraid people would forget the A and end up on lazyperfectionist.com. So, www.lazyperfection.com is my home.
