Subscribe to Lazy Perfection
I fully admit I’m not always consistent about posting here. And I know it’s no fun to go to a blog only to find that there are no new post. With that in mind, I’ve added two ways for you to subscribe to this blog so that every time I post something new, you’ll know.
If you don’t spend a lot of time online and just want to know when I’ve added something here, the easiest way is to subscribe to Lazy Perfection via email. Just click on the email icon on the right side of the page and you’ll be emailed every time there’s a new post.

If you have several blogs you like to read and want an easy way to keep track of them all, RSS might be a better solution for you. I don’t know what RSS stands for. I thought about looking it up so I could tell you, but honestly, I don’t care, and don’t want to bore you with unnecessary details. Here’s what you need to know:
RSS is like a subscription service for blogs and many other things on the web. You can log into your RSS reader at any time to catch up on the newest posts and updates. There are a lot of free RSS readers available like Bloglines and NewsGator but I use Google Reader so that’s the one I’ll be talking about here.
First you need to set up an account with an RSS reader. Just go to the website and sign up for one. If you decide to use Google Reader and have Gmail or another service from Google, you may already have a Google account. in this case you just need to add the Google Reader service.
Next to the email subscription icon on this site is an RSS subscription icon. just click on that and select your reader to subscribe to Lazy Perfection.

Google Reader is pretty easy to use. To add a subscription to a site that doesn’t have a subscription link, click on “Add Subscription”, type in the address of the blog you want to follow and click “Add”.

To read new posts you can click on “New Posts” to see a list of all of the new posts to all of your subscriptions, or, you can sort them by category and only read the new ones in those categories.

There are lots of options built in but here are 2 tricks that will make things a little easier and faster. In the upper right corner of the screen click on “Settings” and then “Goodies”. The two I use are the “Next” button and the “Subscribe” button. Drag and drop the one you want to use to the bookmark bar in the top of your browser.

With these tools you can subscribe to a blog just by clicking “Subscribe” in your bookmark bar or read the most recent post by clicking “Next”.
