Oprah is a thief (not really)

Ok, I mean it this time. I’m really going to be better about posting on this blog.

For real.

I promise.

I really had good intentions when I started it. I meant to put all my great ideas on here with lots of before and after pictures. I keep forgetting to take pictures though, and that perfectionist part of me insists I have pictures for everything. I hate blogs without pictures.

When I do remember to take pictures it takes so long to crop and edit them… heck, most of them haven’t even made it onto my computer yet. By the time I get home from work and get dinner made, eaten and cleaned up I’m beat and don’t want to look at the computer. I always think I’ll get to it on the weekend but obviously that hasn’t happened. That would be because of the lazy part.

I’m really motivated now, though, because Oprah keeps stealing my ideas and I want to start posting them before she gets to them so that you don’t think I stole them from her. I wanted to post about the Kindle – the most amazing thing ever for anyone who reads – and before I even started writing about it Ms. Winfrey goes and has a whole segment about them and sells the dumb things out for 3 months.

I also wanted to make sure you all knew about Heritage Makers. I discovered them a few years ago and think they offer the most amazing present you can give ANYONE. Again, I procrastinate and Oprah features Heritage Makers as one of her favorite presents ever in O Magazine.

I have a post almost ready to go discussing Peter Walsh’s book, It’s All Too Much. I know he’s been on The Oprah Show before, but it had been a while, until recently, when he took my idea of publishing your kids artwork with Shutterfly or another similar photo book company.

I’m also putting some ideas to encourage everyone to be cheap this Christmas and make it more about memories than things. But of course, Oprah does a whole show on it.

I’m still going to post blog about these things because I’ve got some additional information and ideas that Oprah hasn’t stolen, but from now on, I’m going to really try to post here when I have an idea and not wait until I have everything perfect because I know now that Oprah is hot on my heals ready to steal all my good ideas.

Make sure to subscribe either through e-mail or RSS feed so you don’t miss anything.

PS
I know Oprah didn’t really steal my ideas. She doesn’t know me and as far as I know can’t read minds and certainly wouldn’t want to read mine if she could. I really did have these ideas before her though.
